About Erin Bean

erin beanErin Bean is a Senior at Hanover College anticipating graduation in May of 2011. Her areas of study include English, specifically 19th and 20th century fiction, and Secondary Education.

Ms. Bean’s professional experience includes a wide range of customer service jobs from waitress to receptionist and camp counselor. Additionally, her work experience includes a variety of positions at Hanover College which included calling alumni for donations to the Hanover College Fund and working as an Advertising Assistant for the Hanover College Career Center.

As a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Erin has gained professional experience in marketing, management, and team building. She served as the Vice President of Recruitment and the Panhellenic Delegate.

Community service and volunteerism is a priority for Erin. Membership in Alpha Delta Pi has provided many regular service opportunities and special events.  Her local volunteer service includes Girls Inc. and the Jefferson County Animal Shelter in Madison, IN. In February of 2010 Erin traveled to Lima, Peru with 20 other students to build a playground for an impoverished community.

Upon graduation, Erin hopes to either enter into a two to four year volunteer program like the Peace Corp or attend graduate school. She would like to work on bettering primary and secondary education services in third world Central and South American countries.
